About StatikNet
A small studio with a big focus.
StatikNet is an independent product studio founded by Jay Stants. We build thoughtful software around the way people live, work, and connect.
Why StatikNet exists
Most software asks a lot of the people who use it. More settings, more notifications, more things to keep track of. We think good software should do the opposite: take something off your mind and stay out of the way.
StatikNet started as a name on the bottom of one app. It became a studio because one product turned into a way of working: pick a real problem, design the simplest thing that solves it, and engineer it carefully enough that people can rely on it.
We're deliberately small. That means fewer products, more attention on each one, and direct conversations with the people who use them.
How we work
Useful by design
Products built around real needs.
We start with a problem someone actually has, not with a technology looking for a use.
Human centered
Designed for how people actually live and work.
The engineering can be complex underneath. Using the product should feel simple and calm.
Engineered with care
Thoughtful systems built to last.
Tested, measured and maintained, because people should be able to rely on what we ship.
Founder
Jay Stants
Jay spent years designing and running networks and infrastructure, the kind of systems people only notice when they break. That background shapes how StatikNet builds: test the work, automate what's repetitive, and design for the day something goes wrong.
Today Jay builds consumer software from Rochester, New York, working alongside AI tools while keeping a human in charge of judgment, taste and quality.
